The Big Countdown - 26 days before I hop into the plane and take off to my birth home, Singapore! First time flying with Cathay Pacific, stopover in HongKong. Total flight hours is 19. Long, long flight. Very mixed feelings for this trip - happy and sad inside my heart.
Happy because my niece, Lynn Tang is expecting her first baby girl around November15th. That is what the doctor said, but babies have minds of their own and they will appear when they feel they want to see the world! Hopefully she will decide to come after I arrive as I am bringing all her cuddly clothes and accessories. If she changes her mind, then she will really be in her birthday suit as her mom did not buy any baby clothes. What a welcoming for her.
The sad part is going to see my sister-in-law, Helen (my brother's wife) who was diagnosed with spinal cord cancer in May. The doctor's diagnosis is not good, 90% terminal and 10% miracle. Been praying real hard for the miracle to happen as she is too young to be called away. Also she has 3 young children who needs their mother and a husband who will be lost without her. Please pray for Helen to be in remission with her fight with the horrible cancer. Latest news is that the oral chemo she is taking is slowing down the growth of the cancer cells and the tea she is drinking from the traditional Chinese doctor is giving her an appetite for food. She still needs her daily injection to keep her liver working.
Keeping busy shopping for everyone back home! Also my ex-sister-in-law from Indonesia will be joining me in Singapore. We will be spending time together for a week. She will arrive on the 15th and leaves on the 22nd to Paris, France.
